Andy Goddard
Director / Producer
Wooden Overcoats (2015-2022)
Influences
“It's a funny one for us - because we were one of the first really getting up to it - in the UK, at least.
So our influences were, like, older British sitcoms on the radio - and dramas. I definitely thought - at 22 - that I was capable of replicating Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. I was convinced I was good enough.
But, more realistically, it was those really brilliantly written but quite light - production-wise - sitcoms that found their way onto Audible, and I would use my credits to listen to.
We came out of our radio Masters Degree course having listened to a lot of High Art Radio - yeah, this is the thing we ought to be making…and we made really silly sitcoms.”
